We sell the belt, not the post.
Custom Retractable Belt Barriers makes printed webbing and cassettes to order — replacement belts for posts you already own, long spans to nine metres, four-way receivers, wall-mounted and corner units, hi-vis hazard webbing and sealed outdoor cassettes.

Posts outlive belts by years. The webbing frays at the clip, the print fades, the branding changes — and the standard answer from a supplier is a quote for a complete new queue system. Most of what we ship is cassettes that drop into somebody else’s posts.
Two numbers decide whether a belt works. The first is length, which should be taken from the gap and not from the post: a belt cut to the width of the span sits at full extension, will not reach if the posts shift, and puts the load into the cassette instead of the webbing.
The second is the brake. An unbraked cassette lets several metres of webbing return at speed, and that is the thing in this category that actually injures somebody. Controlled recoil is standard on everything we make and it is not where we save money.
Why we exist
Queue barriers are sold as complete systems because systems are worth more than consumables. That suits the supplier and it is a poor deal for a hotel with sixty perfectly good posts and sixty tired belts.
So we treat the cassette as a serviceable part. Send a photograph of your post head and the fixing, and we build belts to fit it. It costs a fraction of replacement and takes a maintenance team minutes per post.
What we actually make
Replacement cassettes and printed webbing for existing posts. Long spans up to about nine metres, with a heavier brake because there is more belt wanting to return. Four-way receiver heads so belts arrive square from any direction and stop unclipping under load. Wall-mounted units and swivelling corner cassettes for corridors and lifts, where a floor-standing post is just a trip hazard. High-visibility chevron and safety-message webbing. And sealed outdoor cassettes on UV-stable webbing for forecourts and car parks.
Every belt is printed on both faces, because the queue side and the closed side are read by different people who need to be told different things.
How we price
No dollar figures on this site. Price moves with belt length, webbing, print and quantity. Send your spans and a photo of the post heads and a real quote comes back the same day, with a lowest-price guarantee if you are already holding a cheaper one.
On what a belt is not
A belt barrier is highly visible and it communicates. It does not physically restrain anybody, and it will not stop a vehicle or a determined person.
Where something must actually stop a person or a vehicle, use a physical barrier and treat the belt as signage alongside it. We would rather send somebody to a different product than let a belt be bought as one.
